Trade fair shuttles in Berlin

A trade fair shuttle is not a bus transfer, it is a timetable. We build it from your visitor forecast, run it with our own vehicles and adjust the frequency when reality turns out different from the forecast.

What separates a shuttle from a transfer

In a transfer, one bus takes a group from A to B. In a shuttle, several buses run to a frequency between fixed points, for hours, with changing loads. One is a journey; the other is an operation.

We plan the frequency from three figures: the expected number of people, the running time between the points and the size of vehicle. Those three tell us how many buses have to run at what interval so that nobody waits at the stop for more than a couple of minutes.

Because our dispatch desk is staffed during the event, the frequency can be adjusted. If everyone wants to leave at 16:00, we bring vehicles forward — rather than explaining to you on Monday why it did not work.

Rough sizing

Guide figures for a route of 10 minutes each way. We do the exact arithmetic with your numbers.

Common questions

From what size is a shuttle worth it?

From around 200 people a day. Below that, a transfer at fixed times usually makes more sense and costs less — and we tell you so, rather than selling you a shuttle you do not need.

How quickly can you scale up?

During a running event, within about an hour, provided vehicles are free. That is why we ask about peak times beforehand and hold a reserve.

Do you handle the signage at the stops as well?

Vehicle signage yes. Stop boards and wayfinding on the site are usually handled by your fair logistics team — but we are happy to coordinate with them directly.

Do you bill per journey or per day?

For shuttles, per vehicle and operating day, because that is the unit you can plan with. Anything that can be added — overtime, extra vehicles — is in the quote beforehand.
